Sustainable Tourism
Villa Mirasol is proud of its Ecolabel!
At Villa Mirasol, we are very concerned about the quality and comfort of your stay. The entire team at Villa Mirasol is also committed to the environment and is part of the global effort supported by “Ecolabel”, the European Union's ecological label.
We are proud to have been using 100% renewable electricity since 2024. We take care to limit the impact of our practices on the environment: using biodegradable products, recycling and recovery of used oils and fats, limitation, sorting and recycling of waste, use of low-energy lighting, water and energy savers.
We encourage our clients to adapt to the use of heating and air conditioning in the rooms, with full awareness of the ecological impact of using these comfort tools.
We place sustainable development at the heart of our operating methods: changing towels and sheets at the customer's discretion, using ecological hygiene products, promoting the "doggy bag" (to allow you to take away what is not finished). We promote use of local products and short supply chains, highlighting products from sustainable and reasoned agriculture, and for fish from sustainable fishing, respecting the seasonality of products, promote active solidarity with companies employing disabled or disadvantaged workers, anchoring in the local community, guaranteeing our customers and employees a healthy living and working environment, combining health and safety, hygiene, traceability, etc.
To get to Villa Mirasol, you have the option of using ecofriendly means of transport: we are located 15 minutes on foot from Mont-de-Marsan train station, we are also labeled “Accueil Vélo”, or you can recharge your electric vehicle in our car park (paid service), we are close to TMA network bus stops and we know bicycle and electric scooter rental companies.
Through these commitments, which involve our employees, customers, suppliers and partners, Villa Mirasol intends to create a responsible chain for future generations.
How can you support us in this process? Adopt eco-friendly actions: turn off unnecessary lights, reduce and sort waste (corresponding bins are provided), limit your water usage, turn off the heating or air conditioning when you open the windows, only change linen when necessary, during your stay, etc.
